Authors: DJ Egg. Truly, you have unraveled the often mysterious. Didn’t even try to open the WMA directory with Notepad – didn’t realize that what looked like a WMA file was actually a second specific ASX playlist. I didn’t even think there could be another one in the playlist… Mms
The suggestion works well on my computer. And adding &type=.asx allows winamp to parse the second asx playlist – however, if it does, this tool adds &type=.asx to the end because the mms stream becomes unreadable. It’s not the latest version, but it’s worth checking out.
Because now I have almost all the URLs of MMS channels placed directly in the playlist, which is what I wanted from the very beginning. Thanks again.
ujay: I have the Tara plugin and more, but Real Media was always slow to load because the Winamp feature wasn’t there yet.
Nunzio: Yes, for better organization, productionproducing such quality reporting, the BBC has work to do on its streaming methods.

If I hadn’t even tried to go back to open the WMA file containing the notepad, it didn’t occur to me to verify that what looks like every WMA file is actually the fourth ASX playlist. Sometimes I didn’t even think that there could be another playlist…
The MMS stream works fine on my computer. And adding &type=.asx allows winamp to parse the second asx playlist, however when it does, &type=.asx is expanded at the end of the mms stream, making it unplayable. It’s not a show stopper, but it might be something to watch.
For now, I’ve added all MMS channel URLs to a trusted playlist, which is what I was looking for in the first paste. Thanks again.
ujay: I have some real and alternative Tara plugin, but I always found that the real storage devices areThey load slowly, and there is no doubt that Winamp does not yet have this feature.
