A Croatian student who developed software to ease the load on Windows Vista has a program that allows users to customize an installation media that includes Service Pack 1.
Last week, Dino Nuhagic updated his free vLite utility and then yesterday to support a “gradual transition” from SP1, Microsoft’s latest update to Vista. The latest version, called vLite 1.1.6 Beta 2, includes a Slipstream Service Pack action item that patients can use to merge changes and SP1 with images on the original installation disc or RTM (Release to Manufacturing). our mixes that can be burned to DVD and used to install Vista with the included service pack.
To integrate SP1 with Vista, users will need one copy of vLite, 32, and the 64-bit SP1 standalone installer released by Microsoft last month to get the site and blank DVD.
